Hi, I’m Elizabeth, the artist behind Paint & Paws! I’ve been an animal lover for as long as I can remember and have cherished art since I first held a crayon in my hand. My two greatest passions—animals and creativity—have always been part of my life. Before starting my small business, I spent 10 years as a veterinary technician, caring for animals and strengthening my understanding of the special bond we share with them.

In 2020, when my husband enlisted in the military and left for training, I was home with our two children and pets, doing my best to keep things running smoothly. In the quiet evenings, I decided to pick up a paintbrush again to keep myself busy. What started as a simple way to unwind quickly became something more—it was therapeutic, relaxing, and brought me so much joy.

The first portrait I painted was for a family member who had recently lost their beloved dog. Seeing their heartfelt reaction brought me happiness and comfort, knowing my art had touched their heart during such a difficult time. In that moment, I knew I had found something special—a way to combine my love for animals and my passion for art.

Now, I spend my days creating custom pet portraits and hand-painted ID tags that are as unique as the pets they represent. Whether it’s a vibrant painting or a lovingly crafted tag, I pour my heart into each piece to honor the unconditional love our pets give us every day.
